1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Emergency Plumber Sligo website at emergencyplumbersligo.com and any plumbing, heating, or related services provided by Emergency Plumber Sligo ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Services

Emergency Plumber Sligo provides plumbing and heating services across County Sligo, Ireland, including but not limited to:

  • Emergency plumbing repairs (available 24/7)
  • Burst pipe repair and water leak detection
  • Blocked drain clearing
  • Boiler repairs, servicing, and installations
  • Central heating system repairs and maintenance
  • Power flushing
  • General plumbing work

All services are subject to availability and our ability to safely carry out the work.

3. Quotations and Pricing

We provide free, no-obligation quotations for all work. All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices quoted are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

For emergency call-outs, we will provide an upfront price assessment before commencing any work. We do not charge hidden call-out fees. If additional work is identified during a job, we will inform you and obtain your approval before proceeding.

4. Appointments and Access

When you book an appointment, you agree to:

  • Provide clear and safe access to the area requiring work
  • Ensure an authorised adult (aged 18 or over) is present at the property during the service
  • Inform us of any relevant hazards, structural issues, or prior work carried out
  • Give reasonable notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment

We will make every effort to arrive within the agreed time window. For emergencies, we aim to respond within 60 minutes, though this may vary depending on demand and travel conditions.

5. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept payment by cash, bank transfer, or card where facilities are available.

For larger projects, we may require a deposit or staged payments. These terms will be agreed in advance as part of the quotation.

Late payments may be subject to interest at the rate prescribed under the European Communities (Late Payment in Commercial Transactions) Regulations 2012 (S.I. No. 580 of 2012).

6. Guarantees and Warranties

We stand behind the quality of our work. All labour is guaranteed for a minimum of 12 months from the date of completion, unless otherwise stated. Manufacturer warranties may apply to parts and materials installed.

Guarantees do not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or third-party interference
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Pre-existing issues not identified or addressed during the original service
  • Issues arising from failure to follow our maintenance recommendations

7. Liability

We carry comprehensive public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance. Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided or the direct damage caused, whichever is less.

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses (e.g., loss of earnings, business interruption)
  • Damage to property that is a result of pre-existing defects or deterioration
  • Delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, supply chain disruptions)

8. Cancellation

For non-emergency appointments, we request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Emergency call-outs that are cancelled after a plumber has been dispatched may be subject to a reasonable travel charge.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 (Ireland), you may have additional cancellation rights for contracts entered into at a distance or off-premises.

9. Complaints

We take all complaints seriously and aim to resolve issues promptly and fairly. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us:
